  1. After watching the video, I am impressed and at the same time astounded with the projections and the statistics that it has revealed.

I recall a statement that once said “The 19th Century belongs to Europe, the 20th Century belongs to American and the 21st Century belongs to Asia”.

And with these projections, I guess I can ironically link it to Obama’s “Change, we can believe in – Yes, we can.” It is not a sarcastic remark but rather one that actually is “freaked out” with the truth and the happenings around the world.

I guess, at this point in time, our generation is slowly witnessing the shift of economic powers as well as environment issues, etc.

Questions that come to my mind – is the financial crisis in US the turning point? Would Obama be the messiah to US’s cry for help in the salvaging of their financial status, global power and social norms?

I believe that the video is a call, in fact a wake up call for the world to sit up and if seeing is believing, I feel that the statistics do speak for itself. I believe it is time for people to think about their lives, especially people like us who have been behaving like frogs in a well. It is time to realise that the world has many much more opportunities and it is now that we have to seize it.

Global wealth will improve and standard of livings will rise… but maybe we should also question… at what expense?

Thanks for the video and apologies for the incoherent comments. These were random thoughts that probed into my mind as I watched the video. Thanks for the wake up call!

  2. Thank you chorpharn for the inspiring video.

An eye opener and a realization of great opportunities!

I am also interested about the expense factor? At whose expense? and at what expense?

Nevertheless, let us focus on how we can tap this great opportunity and make the world a better place to live in for everyone!

  3. Thank you for the video Chor Pharn. Indeed, this video does wake the “frogs” up. It definitely kept me wondering what lies in the future for the next generation and myself. The figures are astonishing and greatly troubling.

Apart from the expenses factor as raised above, I see the rising middle class population a cause for more social problems. Will there be an even greater poverty disparity and digital divide? I could see that gap widening if policies are not in place..

I see the boundless opportunities rising from China and India markets. It definitely is good news. But when it seems talents from these countries are flocking over to neighboring cities, how will such situation affect the generation to come? How and where will our local talents stand against the myriad of global talents?

This video is definitely an eye opener. Sets me thinking. Powerful. Can’t wait to share this with my fellow peers too!

    Thank you once again. Cheers!
